The LockDown Browser is a custom browser that locks down your computer environment while you take assignments set by your instructor. This browser will disable most functions during the assignment. It prevents you from printing, copying, going to another URL, or accessing other applications during a test. Once the assignment is complete, you will be able to close and exit the Respondus LockDown Browser.

In the case of inappropriately using the LockDown Browser, you can lock yourself in it (such as logging in to our portal on a different device). To fix this issue, do a hard shutdown of your computer. This usually involves pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds. This event is logged by the LockDown Browser for your instructor's review.
