Overview

  • Upcoming assignments with due dates and announcements are currently supported for text notifications.
  • Only one phone number is currently supported.
  • Assignments with no due date may not show up in your available notifications.
  • Text messages are sent once a day, within the hour set. This does not include announcements when set to Immediate.


Enable

Use the following steps to enable text notifications for your account.

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click the Account tab under the Main Navigation menu to open a drop-down.

  1. Select Notify Settings to bring yourself to the Notification Settings page.

  1. At the top of the page, under Text (SMS) Preferences, click the Add a Phone Number button.

  1. Using the pop-up window, enter your phone number and click the Submit button.

  1. In the new pop-up window, enter the 6-digit code that was sent to your phone number.

You should now see your phone number listed under Text (SMS) Preferences. When enabled, you will receive text messages based on your preferences.


Disable

You may use either the Enable/Disable toggle, reply with STOP through your text device, or remove your phone number from your account.

Use the following steps to remove your phone number from your account.

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click the Account tab under the Main Navigation menu to open a drop-down.

  1. Select Notify Settings to bring yourself to the Notification Settings page.

  1. At the top of the page, under Text (SMS) Preferences, click the vertical ellipsis button next to your phone number.

  1. Using the drop-down menu, select Delete Phone Number.
  2. Using the pop-up window, click the Yes, Delete Now button.

You should no longer see your phone number listed under Text (SMS) Preferences, and you will not be unable to receive text messages for that number.


Settings

These are the currently supported settings available for text messages.

  • Frequency: Options include daily and weekly for upcoming assignments due and announcements.
  • Time: Options include the day of the week and time of day. Day of the week is only available for weekly notifications, not daily or immediate.
  • Enabled: Options include on and off and will either enable or disable your selection.
