If you need to extend a current eBook subscription to cover a course in a new term that uses the same text/edition, you can purchase the new subscription during the course enrollment process. 


If your instructor is not using the learning platform, the current eBook subscription will need to expire before you can repurchase. If you would like it to be expired early, please contact Student Support for assistance.

Extend eBook Subscription

Via Course Enrollment

  • If you have been provided with an Enrollment Link from your instructor, paste the link into your browser and begin here with Step 3.
  • If you have been provided instruction to enroll through your schools integrated LMS, follow given instructions and begin here with Step 3.

The current eBook subscription end date is indicated in light blue (see arrow) in Step 1. 

  1. From within your account, click Enroll on the left menu to begin the course enrollment process.
  2. Paste the Section ID for the new course (provided by your instructor) in the associated field. Click Enroll.
  3. You will see a note (shaded blue) indicating the details of the current eBook subscription. The new subscription will begin upon the expiration of the previous subscription and be extended for the duration you select in Step 4.
  4. For the eBook option, select the preferred duration (options vary among titles), then click Select.
  5. Click Proceed to Checkout to complete the purchase.

  6. Once the purchase has been made, the expiration end date will automatically update to reflect the extension.
