Be aware of Assignment Date settings; if not set, assignments are OPEN an accessible.

It is highly recommended to use Assignment Templates instead of manually configuring settings. Assignment Templates make it fast and easy to apply consistent settings to like-assignments.

Courses include four pre-set templates which mirror our recommended settings, but you can create as many custom templates as needed.

If you prefer to manually configure settings, our recommendations are below. From the assignment's Settings Tab, click Customized settings below the list of Assignment Templates to manually make your selections.

Practice Assignments

Our recommendations for Practice assignments are the most lenient. They allow for the use of the Check feature with each question. Use of the Check button is unlimited, and so we only recommend one attempt. The student must complete the question before the Check feature will activate.

Leave any unlisted settings at the default.

Grading

  • Attempts allowed:  1

Layout

  • Display question name:  Your call; if set to Yes, students will see the question number as listed in the book.

  • Students have full review ability when reviewing an attempt upon submission (Immediately), before the set closing date/time (Later), and when reviewing an attempt after the closing date/time.
