• If you copied a previous Canvas course, make sure you have removed all MBC assignment links in your new Canvas course before integrating.
  • Any assignment setting changes (number of attempts, open/close dates, etc.) should be made in myBusinessCourse, as these will carry over to Canvas.
  • We are excited to announce that we have made recent updates to our Canvas 1.3 integration!

    Below are some of the benefits now available with Canvas 1.3:

    • Instructors can embed multiple assignments and resources at one time, all in one place.  
    • Resources are embedded in a more user-friendly way.  
    • The name of the assignment and its point values will automatically carry over. 
    If you are interested in utilizing these features, please forward the following user guide to your system administrator so they can make the necessary updates:

    Once they have made these updates, you can utilize the features above by following these steps:

  1. In Course Navigation, click the Assignments link.
  2. Click the Add Assignment button.
  3. In the Submission Type drop-down menu, select the External Tool option.
  4. Click the Find button. 
  5. Find the myBusinessCourse Assignment Selection External Tool
  6. A modal appears and myBusinessCourse will load
  7. You will be redirected to a Content Selection page which will contain all your myBusinessCourse chapter/modules assignments.
  8. Select the assignment you would like to use
  9. Click the Select Assignment button
  10. If you want the assignment to load in a new tab, click the Load in a new tab checkbox.
  11. Confirm the point value is correct and then click the Select button.
